The chemical composition of ZSM-5 series zeolite can be expressed by the molar ratio of oxides: 0.9±0.2M2/nO:Al2O3:5---100SiO2:ZH2O, where M is cation (alkali ion and organic amine ion); n is The valence of the cation; Z is from 0 to 40.

ZSM-5 series zeolite has a high silicon-aluminum ratio, and can synthesize molecular sieves with different silicon-alumina ratios according to needs, which can be changed in a wide range from 10 to 3000.

The ZSM-5 series zeolite contains 10 rings, and the basic structural unit consists of 8 rings of 5 rings. Its crystal structure belongs to the square grain boundary, space group Pnma, lattice constant A=20.1.B=19.9.C=13.4. It has a special structure, there is no fixed frame, such as a-type, X-type and Y-type stele, that A hole is its cavity. The skeleton consists of two cross-channel systems. The straight hole is oval, the long axis is 5.7 ~ 5.8, and the short axis is 5.1 ~ 5.2. The other is a "z"-shaped cross channel, the cross section is close to a circle, and the hole diameter is 5.4 ~ 0.2. It belongs to mesoporous zeolite. The corner of the z-channel is 110 degrees. The sodium ions are located on the symmetry plane of the 10-membered ring hole. Negative ion bone density is about 1.79 g/cm3. Therefore, the crystal structure of ZSM-5 series zeolite is very stable.
